This is an easy and yummy way to please the kids. You can make lots of it and freeze it, just deep fry when required. Serve hot with ketchup or chilli sauce. Add in a shake and your evening snack is sorted.
These bites are just mashed potatoes with cornflour, an egg, salt, chilli flakes and breadcrumbs.
Mixed together and rolled out between two plastic sheets, cut out with a cookie cutter to whatever shape you want, I used a flower cookie cutter, used a straw to make the little circle in the middle.
To freeze, first spread the flowery bites on a tray without overlapping and freeze, when it’s frozen, transfer into Ziploc bags and freeze till needed.
Deep fry just before serving.
2 kgs potatoes, boiled
1 egg, beaten
3 tbsp cornflour
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
Salt to taste
Chilli flakes according to personal preference
Oil to deep fry
