Restaurant Style Cold Coffee

I love coffee, specially cold coffee so once in a while, when I want to pat myself on my back or to indulge, I make this extra special cold coffee.
The coffee looks extra indulgent because of the presentation. The flowing chocolate syrup and that scoop of ice cream, give it that ‘Wow’ factor.
And you know the best part, it is not difficult to recreate this…it’s, well, a cakewalk. 😋

It’s also a great way to make the kids have milk because there is one whole glass of milk per serving and I’m sure a few extra minutes won’t matter if the children gulp down milk without any tantrums.
So here goes.

For one tall mug of coffee
1 mug toned milk chilled
1 tsp coffee (instant)
2 tsp sugar.
A few ice cubes to chill the coffee.
Chocolate syrup
1 scoop vanilla ice cream
Chocolate vermicelli to garnish

For making a richer version
1/4 cup cream + 3/4 cup milk in place of 1 cup milk

For stronger version
1 tsp cocoa powder

For cinnamon flavoured
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder

In a blender, add the milk, sugar and coffee. Add any of the extra ingredients according to your preference.
Blend it for a minute.
Now add the ice cubes and blend once more. The coffee is ready to pour.
Prepare the mug

Pour some chocolate syrup on the inside edge of the mug.
Pour the prepared cold coffee.
Top it with a scoop of ice cream and chocolate vermicelli.
Put a straw and you’re ready to serve. Have it yourself or impress a loved one.
