Nutella Swirl Muffins
Nutella, love that flavour. I had been planning to make these muffins for a long time but got the chance today. These muffins are mildly sweet but the Nutella compensates for the sweetness, it’s a delight when you feel the Nutella dissolve in your mouth.. Ah-mazing!
These are easy to make muffins, with very few ingredients, no rocket science involved here. Mix, pour, swirl and bake.
Don’t get worried if your batter is too thick, it’s supposed to be slightly thicker than the regular muffin batters, it is so for the Nutella swirl to stay.
This recipe is good for about 12 medium sized muffins.
So let’s get started.
1/2 cup refined oil
3/4 cup caster sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
2-3 tbsp milk
A few tbsp of Nutella
Pre heat the oven at 200 degrees Celsius. Keep the cupcake mould ready, lined with liners.
In a large bowl, mix the oil, sugar, eggs and vanilla essence. Beat with a hand mixer till frothy.
Add the half of the flour and baking powder, mix with a spatula, add some milk, mix again.
Finally add the remaining flour and milk, mix till well incorporated.
Pour into cupcake liners, till half full. Put some Nutella on top, swirl with a skewer.
Fill the remaining liners similarly.
Bake for 5 minutes at 200 degrees, then reduce the temperature to 180 degrees and bake for 15 minutes more or till the muffins are done.
Serve warm as it is or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
