Flavoured Pull Apart Bread

I have been wanting to try a nice bread recipe, after searching for many days, zeroed on to this one.
It’s from Shano Biju’s blog Soulful Bakes, she is an expert at making breads and I’m really glad I tried her recipe. I have tweaked it a bit for my ease.
The bread turned out really soft and flavourful. I am definitely going to try this again soon with variations.
Do give this recipe a try I am sure you are going to love it.

For bread
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp instant dry yeast
1 tbsp caster sugar
1 tsp salt
1.5 tbsp milk powder
5 tsp fresh cream
3/4 th cup milk
1 tbsp refined oil

For flavouring
1 tbsp garlic paste
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp chilli flakes
1 tsp pizza seasoning
3 tbsp refined oil

Butter to top.

In a large bowl, add the flour, yeast, sugar, salt, milk powder and cream.
Mix it well till everything is well incorporated.
Now add the milk and knead for about 10 minutes or till the stickiness of the dough decreases.
The dough will be sticky but don’t worry, keep kneading so that the stickiness is reduced.
After 10 minutes, add the oil and knead for 2 more minutes.
After this, the stickiness of the dough is lost completely.
Put the dough in a greased bowl, spread some oil on top of the dough as well.
Keep the dough in a warm place to let it double.

In the meantime, heat the oil for flavouring, add the garlic and saute for a minute.
Remove from heat.
Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.
Keep aside.

Once the dough doubles, punch it lightly to let the gases escape.
Now, roll it out and spread half of the flavoring.
Roll tightly.
Cut into about 12-14 thin pieces.
Grease a loaf tin.
Put the pieces but don’t overcrowd the tin.
Put it in a warm place for 10 minutes for the second rise.

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
After the second rise, cover the dough with aluminium foil.
Put the tin on the lower rack and bake for 20 minutes.
Take the tin out, remove the foil, spread the remaining flavouring and bake on the middle rack for 10 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.
Once the bread is baked, spread some butter on top of the loaf.
Serve warm.
